LIFESTAR RESPONSE

LifeStar’s ambulance and medical transportation services include basic and advanced life support (BLS and ALS) and specialty care transports (SCT). LifeStar provides emergency (911) and non-emergency medical transportation services to support the transportation needs of public and private sector emergency and non-emergency care participants.

LifeStar is currently licensed to provide these services in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Alabama and Georgia. State certified emergency medical technicians, nationally registered or state certified paramedics and registered nurses staff the ambulance units. A medical director manages quality assurance and continuing medical education. There is a wheelchair-van service for clients who require assisted transportation but not an ambulance. The fully-equipped fleet meets applicable industry and regulatory standards and is maintained in accordance with industry guidelines and replaced/updated regularly.

ACCESSONTIME

AccessOnTime provides “one stop” logistical services – arranging transportation and language services on a pre-authorized basis – for client organizations active in workers’ compensation healthcare benefit management and administration.

Access arranges services in all 50 states through more than 1,000 third-parties including commercial transportation companies and a proprietary network of independent contractors who are responsible for their vehicles and other tools of trade. Access coordinates all modes of transportation: wheelchair, medichair, stretcher, advanced life support ambulance, basic life support ambulance, critical care ambulance, air ambulance, flight escorts and courier service.

In addition, Access arranges language services (translation, interpretation, transcription) in more than 200 languages and dialects by phone or in-person to assure that injured workers can communicate and understand healthcare and rehabilitation professionals.

AccessOnTime’s main client organizations have significant involvement in managing and administering workers’ compensation healthcare benefits under the state and federal workers’ compensation programs. Clients include national, regional and state-based private and public sector insurance companies, self-insuring organizations, third-party administrative firms (TPAs), case management companies and larger service providers which support the needs of insurance companies, self-insureds or other entities.

AccessOnTime handles invoicing, reimbursement, accounting and insurance program-specific documentation for all services. All outside transportation providers undergo continuing monitoring and quality assurance and AccessOnTime operates on a “zero tolerance” basis. After every trip, a quality assurance unit contacts the injured worker and surveys the quality and courtesy of the driver, the condition of the vehicle, pick-up times, the routes taken and the overall experience.

CARE AMBULANCE

Care Ambulance is a leading provider of quality medical transportation. In addition to offering a full spectrum of ambulance services including basic and advanced life support (BLS and ALS), Care handles everything from emergency and routine intercity transports, industrial health services, special event stand-by services and ambulette (wheelchair) services to a highly sophisticated mobile neonatal intensive care unit.

Care Ambulance of Alabama joined LifeStar Response in 1999, expanding into Atlanta in 2004. After acquiring Atlanta South ambulance, the Atlanta and western Georgia operations merged. Today, the company provides a wide variety of transport options with a fully equipped, modern fleet of vehicles, including the world’s first Peterbilt ambulance. Our units are staffed by state certified emergency medical technicians and nationally registered paramedics.
